Greg is a Lieutenant Firefighter / EMT - Paramedic for the City of Euclid Fire Department. He has served as EMS Coordinator for Euclid Hospital since 2002. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Safety Management from Cleveland State University and an Associates of Applied Sciences Degree in Fire Science Technology from Lakeland Community College. Greg is an EMS - Instructor and is certified as an AHA instructor in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Greg has attended Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS) training and is CONTOMS certified.

 

Greg is active in hospital disaster preparedness and serves as Euclid Hospital's Emergency Response Team (HERT) Unit Leader. He represents Euclid Hospital in both the Cuyahoga County Bioterrorism Steering Committee and Cuyahoga County Anti-Terrorism Committee. He enjoys the challenge of EMS and has a special interest in Tactical Emergency Medicine and Hospital Disaster Preparedness. He resides in Chardon with his wife, Elizabeth, and daughters, Isabella, Avery and Sarah.

Peter Raphael, MD is the EMS Medical Director for Euclid Hospital. Dr. Raphael knows both sides of the ED/EMS relationship well, having served as a Firefighter / EMT – Paramedic, prior to becoming a physician. As EMS Medical Director, Dr. Raphael  assist in the development of EMS programs. He assists in the development of the EMS programs and initiatives; including the approval of EMS protocols that the pre - hospital professionals utilize in patient care. Dr. Raphael attended medical school at Ross University and completed his residency at Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  Dr. Raphael resides in Westlake, Ohio with his beautiful wife Alexa.
